Brown Dog Farm Hat
Wool and Mohair Fancy Ragg wool winter hat
These hats are our first farm to finish product. Our Angora goats Palmer and Watson give us this beautiful silky natural colored mohair. This year we are featuring our beautiful black coffee colored Shetland fleece from our lead ewe Enya. The yarn are plyed together to make our Bark colored Hats. For the Marsh hats, I dyed Bella’s, light colored wool the yummy teal blue green and again plied it with mohair to make the chunky soft and springy yarn I call Fancy Ragg Wool. I knit up a simple fisherman cap that is super soft, warm and cozy, just in time for the winter. Last year i wore mine right up until may. The natural fibers are moisture wicking and super breathable.A nifty leather tag is there to remind you this comes right from the heart of Brown Dog Farm, and helps spread the word, in case someone in the grocery aisle asks you about your hat.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to thoughtfully use grazing animals to steward our land.
